Life goes on and we go about living and learning more and more as the days pass by.
It is nice to be able to learn from nature glowing all around us. Like from the lotus, radiantly blooming in the stagnant still murky pond it finds itself in!
It’s circumstances may be somewhat “chained” but it’s glory definitely isn’t!

See?
A lotus in full bloom is a vivid example of the resurrection experience that every one of us can go through.
“Resurrection” not only means rising from the dead but it also means rising from the stifling conditions and chains that so often bind us. Chains that others have put around us. Chains that we have put around ourselves!
We resurrect by coming through with all the resplendence and glory that is innately already ours.
If we are created in God’s image and likeness it is for us to show it off to the world even more so when people and circumstances try to crush us and keep us down.
Our “revenge” on people who put us down or on a seemingly cruel and spirit crushing world is to succeed in life!
It really is a “sweet revenge” that does nothing to damage the other but makes us even more beautiful for all that we have become!
Lotuses normally grow in muddy stagnant ponds and not-very-clean rivers. But despite their unpleasant and binding conditions they always come out resurrected and radiant.
And the pond itself becomes more beautiful because of that!
Good example for all of us!
My summertime testing and vocational guidance continues busily. Here and there small things need to be fine-tuned to get it going smoothly and efficiently. That will happen soon and the unchained glory of this effort too will show!
Then there is also structural repair work and painting to be done in the Hostel!
It continues to be a long and busy and hot summer for me…
More bother but who’s complaining!!!!! (help !!)
And yes, the first rains will come soon and the fresh wet-mud smell of the earth will bring with it the promise of cooler days ahead.
Of course we will have to adjust to slush and pot-holes and mucky travel times and things like that but one cannot have everything, right?
Less things to complain about and more peace and glory to you too!
Take care. Love, Terry
