My dear

It is a universal belief that God is mysteriously present in everything.

His Spirit hovers over all the earth and teaches us so much through nature and everything all around us.

I continue learning a lot from my little garden. As also from nature elsewhere…plants, trees, animals, birds, skies and shores and much else.

I learn a lot from people too and as the years pass my life is enriched from all this continuous learning.

I want to share with you something I learnt from trees…

Every branch and every leaf gets a share of what is available. And they adjust and accommodate so that no part of the tree is in want. And if a leaf dries up and falls, its time has come for that and the tree lets it go. So also with a branch that dries up and falls. New branches and leaves come out and all the parts, new and old continue as one wholesome tree sharing with all its parts whatever is available.

It would be lovely if people could also be like that: Families and neighbourhoods and communities and nations… yes, and the whole world. If we all shared our light and water and other resources, like trees do, there would be no reasons for hatred and injustice and war and killings.

We have a long long way to go before that happens, but we could make a beginning. Within families first, perhaps… and then on to other groups…

I occasionally spend time watering the plants in my garden giving them more or less as I sense their need. The morning sun shines on them with light rays and beams filtering through the branches and leaves of the big peepal tree in the garden. It is good for my garden plants to know that they are being cared for by the sun, the soil and water, the breezes around and people like my garden helper and myself .

Caring helps us grow and brings out the best in us as well as in those around us.

It is good to be cared for. It is good to care.

Hope you too have a wonderful day today… and a wonderful week ahead.

Take care. Stay well. Share your light and water!

Love, Terry
