My dear
Sometimes, out of the blue, a mail just pops into your box and you smile at the renewed connection with an old friend.
Nice to be with you again and update you on random happenings here with me.
Warm sultry Sunday… 31 degrees C (feels like 38), humidity 71%. That’s what it says on the weather app I have on my iPad. I also have inside me the beginnings of a cold and sore throat. I have had these before, they have gone away before so I am not at all worried.
No real rain for the last few days. The leaves of some of my plants in my garden are droop-withering. I must water them.
It used to be a small garden before … a few here and there potted plants.
With care and over time quite a transformation has taken place… and it is a bit of a jungle just now.
It isn’t manicured or neat but somewhat careless wild and growing without caution.
The view from my door and windows is luscious green and refreshing. The monsoon rains make it even more so. Wet washed entangled green as you can see in the picture.
You surely love beautiful plants and gardens too so you know the feeling.
The downpour heavy rains we had some time back seem to have taken a break and it is hot/humid just now. But one can hope… and the rains will surely come down heavy again just as I like them to!
And the whimsical rain clouds must be chuckling up there above and saying: “ How we keep fooling those dumb met-believing human types down below!”
International Yoga Day last Sunday. We adjusted and had it on Wednesday at 3.30 pm in the Hall.
About 50 people came… and all expressed a desire to have more of the same.
.
FYs of the Senior college had their orientations yesterday and today. Their classes begin on Monday and they seem all eager to launch out into new excitements in Xavier’s.
My own old excitements keep me busy and going… and, as always, I look forward to restful Sunday breaks.
Hope you have had a great weekend too.
Much love, Terry
