It is the Easter season and here I am spreading Easter peace and joy with my typical terry-mails!
For Christians, it isn’t Christmas but Easter that is the most important festival of the year.
Jesus, fulfilling his Father’s will and plan, goes through his passion and crucifixion and death. And at Easter Jesus celebrates His triumph over death and sin and evil by rising from the tomb in glory.
With that phenomenal happy-ning, He brings new worth and meaning to our living.
That is what Christians celebrate with Him.
Sorry to disappoint you but there is nothing in the original Easter happening to include bunnies and chicks and eggs and things like that. These started in the 17th century and grew over the years into cards and gifts and chocolates and other sweet irrelevant expressions of a festival. ( Like Santa Claus for Christmas). (Check Google for more details!)
Easter is and remains a joyful celebration of redemption and triumph over sin and death.
Jesus was the first… and all of us will so follow….

Happiness and joy are secondary. The important gift to us is PEACE ! One cannot be happy or joyful when tragedy comes into our lives. One can be peaceful though. And if one is peaceful one can accept the pain and cope with it better. Jesus on the cross is an example of this.
“Peace be with you!” from the risen Christ and also from me!
My summer rush for testing and counselling has begun and I am quite into the regular swing of things. All seems to be in order now and I shall handle related demands and crises as and when they arrive! It’s going to be a long hot busy summer for sure!
