Music in the attachment…

My dear

Thanks for your mail.

Restful… peaceful Sunday morning a few days back…

Lovely of you to stay with me for a while today… and catch up on little-big in-betweens of our lives

Nice to connect again…

And there will be more connections and catching up times by otherwise mails when you adventure off to South Africa in a little while.

I shared this with you already…

Thought you might like an inbox report!

Cartoon

I had another episode on Friday last… got quite lost and disoriented…

I read my diary entry wrongly and went for a wedding of the sister of an ex-student.

And I took the Western Railway …got off at Matunga Road.

I should have taken Central and alighted at Matunga.

Kept asking directions on the way and walked all the way to the Khalsa Grounds venue (my feet are still aching with that walk).

There was a wedding in a Banquet Hall there but nothing on the grounds. In fact the people there did not seem to know where the Khalsa Ground was.

And I had forgotten to carry the wedding invite with me…

And I do not have a cellphone…

And I had forgotten the name of the bridal couple (I did remember the ex-student’s name, though!)

So I was LOST… really lost and tired!

And then it struck me – the wedding was two days later – SUNDAY!

I laughed at myself. This is the THIRD time I was going for a wedding on the wrong day.

The first time I went one WHOLE MONTH early! (Sunday 22nd is the same for Feb and March in a leap year.

The second time I went A DAY early. And I wondered why there were no lights and decorations at the wedding venue!

And on Friday I went TWO days early.

Maybe I am not so smart and alert as I think I am.

But I am glad that I now know the place and how to get there this evening.

There are no mistakes in life. We just make choices and it is wise to learn from them.

Henceforth I shall always check my diary twice … for weddings, funerals and whatever else!

College routines continue. Dec.3rd was Founder’s Day – Feast of St. Francis Xavier

It was also Traditional Day – so glitz and glamour and song and dance. Among other things I was caretaking bags left in my centre… and giving away band-aids and safety-pins and spare slippers to those in need. I even repaired a damaged shoe.

And, of course, I took a lot of pictures.

Otherwise academic and Fest noises keep buzzing around. Class and canteen routines roll along and life generally goes on…

Yes, Xavier’s continues to be a way of life.

More fun and exciting times to you…

Take care. Stay well.

Lots of love,

Terry
