christineC, surekhaS,
My dear
A few stones comes rolling downhill towards us and we worry about an avalanche that might follow. It rains a bit while we are out for a stroll by the sea and we dread the tsunami that might inundate and destroy us. Little incidental things happen and we anticipate a catastrophe. So many things can and do go wrong and we worry excessively in anticipation of worse to follow.
Often the worry about the sickness damages us more than the sickness itself!
And when nothing disastrous happens, the joke is on us and all our anxiety is a big fat burdensome waste!!
Not that there are no avalanches and tsunamis or catastrophes.
There are… but these are few and far between.
At worry times like these it is good to have this before us:
It is good to know that things will fall into place and we will be fine.
If we know this and we connect to it then we add to our own healing.
All will really be well…
And most of the time all really is well.
It has happened before. It will happen again. And that is a comforting thought.
As for me just now, I do not have to “wait and see”. I am overall fine!! I said “overall”. There are a few bumps and ditches now and then but I deal with them and I become overall fine.
You take care too and stay well. Things will be fine.
Love, Terry
