My dear

Thoughts and reflections for Holy Week…

It’s amazing how many people make suggestions about how we can make our own lives better. I do that too sometimes…

I have some observations about this…

1.   However much I move, my comfort zone becomes bigger and I am still in it!

2.  Sometimes when I move out of my comfort zone I move into someone else’s discomfort zone (community life…family life!)

3.   Some people try to move me out of my comfort zone because they are uncomfortable with where I am.

4.   One can become more efficient if one stays in one’s comfort zone and works towards becoming better at what one is doing in it.

5.   All human effort is directed at becoming comfortable so why become uncomfortable unnecessarily.

6.   There is always the possibility that the rest of the world will adjust to make me comfortable.

7.   The only comfort zone one cannot move out of is the tomb… and all of us die to get there!

These are just random thoughts. Holy Week is a good time to think about moving out of one’s comfort zone.

Not just think but actually move.

Jesus did this. He moved into Jerusalem knowing what was to happen to him.

And he kept on moving right through the last supper and the garden of Gethsemane,

the passion and death on the cross.

Easter and the glory of the resurrection is the final destination.

But to get there, like I said, we must first move.

Blessings for your own movements.

Take care. Move confidently. He is with you.

Love, Terry
