Another week going by and the rains come and go. I have still to get wet in these rains.
I am mostly indoors, dry and happy. Not that I do not like getting wet. I do… but I am not obsessed about it.
Random reflections… just in case.
The sailboat we can build…
The sails we may hoist high…
The rudder we might sit by and control…
But unless there is a wind, the sailboat remains where it is.

A sailboat needs the wind if it is to get to anywhere.
And we have no control about when and how the wind will blow.
However, the boat must be ready when the wind finally blows.
And we have control about getting the boat ready.
Life is generally about getting our boat ready.
Living is about making the best of the winds of opportunity and circumstances and challenges.
And it is not as if life and living are two separate happenings.
They are intricately interwoven, these two…
the ready sailboat and the unpredictable winds.
All the best to you in getting that sailboat of yours ready.
And you have my prayers and blessings
that the winds will be full-flow gentle, kind and favourable.
They generally are.
The winds come from the spirit-breath of a God who loves us.
