Hold on to it!._

Thaiza, Valerie,

As our days pass by and the old ones among us  grow older it helps for us to know what is important to us and what is not….

An old lady was standing at the rail of the cruise ship holding her hat so that it wouldn’t blow away in the wind.?

A gentleman approached her and said, “Pardon me, madam. I do not intend to be forward but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this wind?”

“Yes, I know,” said the lady. “But I need my hands to hold onto my hat.”

“But madam,” he said, “you must know that you’re derriere is exposed!”

The woman looked down, then back up at the man and said,
“Sir, anything you see down there is 85 years old, but I just bought this hat yesterday!”

So hold on to what is precious….like health and family and friends and reputation and things like that.

Doesn’t matter if the other trivial “old derriere” stuff gets blown up and shown up in the unpredictable rush of wild winds that happen so often all around us!

Hold on to your precious hats!!

I hope you have found more and more really important things in your life to hold on to. And more and more useless things in your life to let go off! As we grow older, the unnecessary baggage keeps on increasing and slows us down  as we burden ourselves about things we have no control of or things that were there in our distress history long ago.

Letting go of these is quite an experience in liberation.

I have been doing that for some time now and I quite relish the peace of mind it brings me. More and more now I continue holding on to my precious “hat” even at the risk of having my “derriere” occasionally exposed!!

You do what you have to do….. and take care!

Love, Terry
