Long time… and I hope things are well and wonderful for you.
Just returned last Sunday evening from another one of my numerous annual weekend Team Building Camps for the SSL at our Khandala villa.
There is always something enchanting about Khandala during the monsoons. If you have been there (or to similar places) during the monsoons you will remember the heavy downpour of the rains, waves of mist wafting uninhibitedly through the surroundings, discomforting damp-moist sensations, the eerie glow around the lamps and the relish of piping hot food at mealtimes. And, of course, the cosy comfort of togetherness time indoors with others who were there with you while it drenched outside!
Khandala continues to hold that enchantment for me every year I go there for these Team Building camps.
Often the bother of being overall in charge of the group and conducting all the sessions and controlling my BP because of disciplinary issues takes away a bit from that liberating refreshing enchantment. Despite that the delight is still there…
This time, happily, I had somewhat of a break. A team (nine members) from a group called the Gandhi Fellowship volunteered to conduct the sessions with the 50 participants. It was a bit different from the way I do things but overall good. And I got additional sympathy and caring because of my still swollen ankle
(damaged earlier by a careless fall down a staircase) and limping condition. I returned last Sunday evening, happy that I had one more task done and grateful to God for things having gone well. And my ankle is better now though healing slowly.
More reasons to be happy – bonus holiday last Monday (Janmasthami) and two back-to-back holidays coming up this week! I am going to get fat and lazy but I am not complaining!
All else well and the wonders continue much like the rains… as and when!
Lots of these to you too.
Take care. Love, Terry
