My dear
I do not know if it had anything to do with the coming elections, or the daily debate about whether Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi would make a better PM, but they covered that open manhole the very next day after a complaint being made about my falling into it!
Finally! I do not have a statue in a public place or a road named after me but I do have a manhole cover that I am responsible for and people will remember me by!
Thought you might like to see it!
Those red spots on the broken piece isn’t blood. I think the BMC workers were eating paan while they were dumping that slab over the open manhole. You will find these “Pandu was here” paan stains on a lot of heritage structures all over the city!
I do not think I want them to name this monument – “Terry Manhole” doesn’t have a dignified ring to it! So let it be. And every time I pass it by I shall say a small prayer of thanks to God for keeping me safe yet another time.
All well with me and I busy myself doing the usual terry-things…
some creativity workshops with the XIC
and getting myself geared up for another rural camp (24th Oct. to 2nd Nov.)
Take care. Stay beautiful.
Love, Terry
