I was out of circulation for a while. Got this message from the Big G upstairs…. He must have noticed that I needed some amount of overhauling/servicing/repairs/whatever before I continued with my fourth gear living.
Daily life wear and tear takes a lot out of one’s system so right up front came the invitation….

I accepted, naturally. The place was a quiet secluded terrace room in the fathers’ quarters on the fourth floor of the college.
The time span was September 23rd to 30th. Sounds like a long time but that’s the way we Jesuits do it. Eight days of prayer, silence, quiet, peace, listening, refreshing… etc. It’s called the Retreat and it’s an annual thing for us. Quite needed too.
I am glad I did it and I am glad I am back now to the everyday things of my life … catching up and getting ready for new things to come.
Term exam season on in college just now, as you know, so all is sober/serious and peaceful. About the middle of the month I will leave for my annual 10 day rural camp with students. Getting myself mentally prepared for that just now. And there will be more anxious excitement as the days pass and I have to have everything in place and ready.
Having done all this camp stuff more than 25 times already makes it easier but even so….
Other things well and chipping along terrily.
More wonders to you there.
Take care. Love, Terry
