My dear
A series of stories and you have them all so far… Puddles, Poodles, Paddles. Here is one more and quite possibly you have been expecting it.
It’s about Peddles.
And my wish for you is that you too might get to meet him sometime soon…
You would hardly notice his solitary presence as he shuffles slowly, noiselessly along the shadows.
Peddles is non-descript old. Much older than others around him. No one quite knows how old he is.
He has been around a long time and he walks up and down the roads and streets of the city carrying with him a mystical assortment of things that people might be in need of.
You cannot buy these things. And most of the time people do not even know that they need them so he is often passed by unnoticed.
Other peddlers have things people want to buy: little knick-knacks, household stuff, fruits and vegetables, toys for the children and a collection of assorted goods. People call out to them from their house balconies or come down to inspect their wares. There is an examination, a selection and the inevitable bargaining. Peddlers very rarely have fixed prices and there is an acceptable ritual of haggling till a mutually agreeable price is arrived at and something is bought.
Peddles does not sell anything. He just gives it away for the asking. If you want something that he has, you must sense your own need for it and go to him and ask. He drifts by you without drawing any attention to himself. You have to notice him and make the first move.
He will stop when you do this and offer you freely what he has for you.
He has dreams and peace packages; little whispers of kindness and caring. He has attitudes of acceptance and forgiveness. He has good feelings for you about yourself and about others. He has that awakening to what is real and possible for you to accomplish in the world. Self-belief and self-worth are in his collection too. Wholesomeness, healing and that all-encompassing feeling of power and confidence to face and deal with the challenges that should come your way.
He has all of these and more … should you sense your need for it and ask.
To have an encounter with Peddles you need to have an encounter with yourself first.
Then you will know what you need. Then you will know what he will offer you.
Like I said already, I hope you get to meet him soon.
All otherwise well and life goes on… with new surprises coming up every now and then.
Take care. Stay well.
Love, Terry
