In the attachment there is dance music for you.
My dear
Almost a month of the new academic year is over and the excitements and challenges continue.
Not everything is pleasant but our attitudes can make light of the rough times.
I thought it might be good to consider options and possibilities and how to take things as we roll along!
Here’s something that might help.
It really is a rush-around life we all live and there is this constant fear of being left behind as time constraints and high speed life-styles become prime concerns for our living and succeeding.
That’s a sure self-destruct programme, resulting in loss of peace and stillness in the process .
We are hardly aware of what we are doing to ourselves..
And even if we are, we are too caught up to care.
Our dancing is so often jive when the music is waltz !
This might be of some help to you . Someone sent it to me some time ago.
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask: “How are you? “
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You’d better slow down
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,”hi”
You’d better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift….
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.
Things are well with me as I dance to the different kinds of music that come into my life.
Not everybody hears my music…. so they might not quite relate to my dancing. It doesn’t matter….
And besides, they are caught up with their own music and dancing… and I need to understand and appreciate that!
Regular college continues. Here and there extra-curricular excitements keep everybody reasonably busy until the next and final round of exams swallow them up again. But there is time for that.
The rush at counselling is less and it is a relatively lighter season. I am glad for the additional break of sorts…
The challenging and fulfilling rhythmic dance of life goes on…..
More wonder days to you as you continue with your own music and dancing….
Take care. Lots of love, Terry
