Of course they are beautiful… colourful glory globes… setting sunlight glisteningly bouncing off their taut forms.
Attractive playthings…rapture enticing, joy inducing flush happiness… but totally transient!
The air will leak out slowly and they will be discarded for some other passing transient joy.
Life is full of short term playthings.
Beyond in the distance, vast immense, majestic, restless, powerfully alive, serene calm, turbulent stormy is the sea.
Distracted by the colourful globes in front of us, we may not notice the sea.
It’s always been there. Always will be there. We take it for granted and do not notice.
Some do though. Backs to the fluttering colourful balloons they quietly breathe in the majesty of the sea and the tranquilising rhythmic caress of the waves foam-frothing to calm on the extended peace beaches.
The balloons are passed by unnoticed. The sea endures.
Metaphor of life for us… and choices to be made for transient or eternal.
Where our treasure is there will our hearts also be.
And it is better to have treasure that is more enduring and lasts.
May you set your heart on that kind of treasure always…
