My dear

All generally well here but now and then I have my bad moments …

You know how much I love my garden and how much I show off about it.

Really sad became recently!!!

An enthusiastic worker decided to trim the overgrown green lush garden of mine and went about in a kind of unbridled frenzy and cut off everything that he thought was in the way or unnecessary. Unfortunately he overdid it and my overhanging green canopy and related creeper connecting my counselling centre to the garden wall opposite just dried up and died. “It was a mistake…” he said. The creeper remains dead.

In the mortuary card below, in the top part,  you will see what it was – lush and green.

In the lower part you will see what it has become.

My reaction to the tragedy was spontaneous ant typical : “It will grow again!” I said.

And it will. The rains will sog up the dead leaves and they will fall. The few streams that are still alive will spark up and spread. And within a year or two I shall have my creeper canopy back again! I am looking forward to that.

Life is like that too. Mistakes made… tragedies follow…distress, acceptance, recovery… and we bounce back on track again. Life goes on and we are more enriched by the experience we have been through.

The other good news is that the monsoons have started. I love the rains and when there is a thunderous downpour I am happiest! Snug and cosy-comfortable indoors most of the time there is so much I can do…

College continues. The first batch of admissions to senior college came in on July 1st. The Junior college will come in later.

More crowded canteen and corridors, more classroom bustle, more Malhar noises… the Xavier’s way of life continues.

A shift in busy times for me…less testing and counselling, more SSL and orientations and college related things. Another year comes to roost and I shall weave my way through it all once more.

Meanwhile the rains will thrive what is there in my garden and the creeper canopy will slowly and surely regain its former glory.

Happy rain-shower blessings to you.

Love, Terry.
