Sharing some of my birthday reflections with you…
It is nice and wonderful to be young right? Young people are full of so many things, life is full of promise…. and one can look up ahead and beyond and do so much…
If I was not TerryQ I might even have envied young people… but I do not…
A lot of people get worried about aging….
and to be young (in body or in spirit!!) is considered a blessing.
It really is, and I shall not question that….
But the fact is… I enjoy being old…. or appropriate to the age I actually am.
For me old age is not a sickness or a handicap.
It is also a blessing, really…. and if I still can do things that others do not expect me to do because of my “old age” then I simply tell them that I am redefining “old”!!
It is not that I cannot do a lot of things I used to do when I was younger.
I still do them.. though I might be doing them differently!!!
The things I continue to do now are not because I am “young in spirit” or ” young at heart”.
I do these things because I AM OLD…. AND IT IS A WONDERFUL WAY TO BE TOO!!!
Just now I am 72 going on 80 ! And how!!
A reasonably long life upto now. And I have learned so much along the way…
