And here’s a picture of me on one of the Goan beaches . I do not have a website or anything so I am sending it to you quite direct. You may not recognise me with the dark glasses and without my usual Santa outfit. And you may not have had a firsthand glimpse of the paunch that is so typically mine. But it is me and Goa was as quiet and peaceful and relaxed as the picture makes it out to be….
About 15 of the family gathered there in James Bond kind of settings – We were staying in apartments in a Hotel Resort with a balcony overlooking a pool. There were a lot of foreign bodies in the pool but their average age must have been about 72 or thereabouts! So I was not too distracted !! We did not party at all… just kept together as family and caught up on so much that has been missing because we are generally so far away from one another. Dinners on the beaches, here-and-there wanderings, late night sing-songs, reminiscing about old times and long-ago days, jokes and wild stories and generally bonding together affectionately. I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I was there for just four days.
Then I got back here to my usual things. Quite like that too, so I continue in a good mood. I have my new diary and there is a lot to look forward to….
