It is the fourth week of Advent\u00a0. The last lap of the waiting season… just a few days more…. and a promise glow begins to\u00a0warm up the eastern sky.<\/p>\n
Commercially the city lights up otherwise ways in multi coloured splendour… windows all dazzled up with Santa show-stoppers and stuffed mannequin reindeers frolicking the presence of a jingle-bells world. Decorated Christmas trees, lights, gifts, more gifts and invitations to dances and celebration times.<\/p>\n
The markets sing the most popular carols with an implied chorus resonating :<\/p>\n
“buy….buy….buy some more….<\/p>\n
all your money for gifts galore !”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in historic distances, quite unheeded by the world, a young carpenter and his pregnant wife sombrely ride their way to Bethlehem and all that awaits them there….<\/p>\n
The journey is long and arduous. The conditions and whereabouts of their stay uncertain ..<\/p>\n
In all of this is the Father’s plan that has been heard and heeded.<\/p>\n
Things will fall into place as He designs. Of this there can be no doubt.<\/p>\n
The carpenter and his wife journey on……<\/p>\n
Meanwhile dawn lights gently break their way over an awakening horizon….<\/p>\n

Adam re-conceived<\/p>\n
and morning comes<\/p>\n
and evening too<\/p>\n
prophetic\u00a0 hand scribes<\/p>\n
another First Day!<\/p>\n
on waiting shores<\/p>\n
rough fishermen<\/p>\n
ready boats and nets<\/p>\n
for miracle catch….<\/p>\n
he comes he comes<\/p>\n
new rising sun<\/p>\n
night mantle shrugged<\/p>\n
day dazzle revealed…<\/p>\n

Our own life journey has that element of uncertainty too.<\/p>\n
“Two roads diverged in a wood…<\/p>\n
And I took the one…..”<\/p>\n
Which one ?\u00a0\u00a0 Less travelled by… more travelled by…..<\/p>\n
Of course either one will have made a difference … but what kind of a difference?<\/p>\n
Which road should I take… and where will it lead me to….?<\/p>\n
If I hear the Father’s word and heed it then I do not have to worry about\u00a0the road I have to take.<\/p>\n
If I heed the Father’s\u00a0 word I am taken to the road …..and the road takes me to the Father…<\/p>\n
It cannot but be the right road….<\/p>\n
And as I travel on it my heart’s desire makes the road even more right….<\/p>\n
The journeying continues… and in\u00a0few days we too will have arrived at Bethlehem .<\/p>\n
One journey will end.<\/p>\n
A new one will begin…..<\/p>\n
There is so much to look forward to….<\/p>\n
