Another week going by and the rains come and go. I have still to get wet in these rains.<\/p>\n
I am mostly indoors, dry and happy. Not that I do not like getting wet. I do… but I am not obsessed about it.<\/p>\n
Random reflections… just in case.<\/p>\n
The sailboat we can build…<\/p>\n
The sails we may hoist high…<\/p>\n
The rudder we might sit by and control…<\/p>\n
But unless there is a wind, the sailboat remains where it is.<\/p>\n

A sailboat needs the wind if it is to get to anywhere.<\/p>\n
And we have no control about when and how the wind will blow.<\/p>\n
However, the boat must be ready when the wind finally blows.<\/p>\n
And we have control about getting the boat ready.<\/p>\n
Life is generally about getting our boat ready.<\/p>\n
Living is about making the best of the winds of opportunity and circumstances and challenges.<\/p>\n
And it is not as if life and living are two separate happenings.<\/p>\n
They are intricately interwoven, these two…<\/p>\n
the ready sailboat and the unpredictable winds.<\/p>\n
All the best to you in getting that sailboat of yours ready.<\/p>\n
And you have my prayers and blessings<\/p>\n
that the winds will be full-flow gentle, kind and favourable.<\/p>\n
They generally are.<\/p>\n
The winds come from the spirit-breath of a God who loves us.<\/p>\n
