The graduation convocation is over. You were up there on stage, posing, beaming, glowing…<\/p>\n
Farewell feelings for you… as so many wonder-years at Xavier\u2019s come to a close and confident steps have to be taken into a challenging world out there!<\/p>\n
I have no doubt that you will dazzle wherever you go and whatever you do.<\/p>\n
Roots and wings at Xavier\u2019s have made you a so much more wonderful you!<\/p>\n
Of course it is not easy saying good bye to so much and so many….<\/p>\n
Thought it would be appropriate\u00a0to send this\u00a0around to you..<\/p>\n

The Gift Of Goodbye<\/p>\n
They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us – 1 John 2:19<\/strong><\/p>\n You will leave certain people and places.<\/p>\n Certain people will leave you.<\/p>\n When you have to go, go.<\/p>\n When people leave you, let them go.<\/p>\n Don’t try to talk them into staying.<\/p>\n Your destiny is seldom tied to places or people who walk away!<\/p>\n When people or places don’t belong in your life anymore,<\/p>\n even a bucket of Super Glue won’t make them stay!<\/p>\n Recognise it when somebody’s part in your story is over as well,<\/p>\n otherwise, you’ll keep trying to raise the dead.<\/p>\n Know when something is\u00a0over!<\/p>\n If God means for you to have it, He’ll give it to you.<\/p>\n When you’ve tried to make it work and it hasn’t, accept His will in the matter.<\/p>\n Get up. Go to the mall. Buy yourself a new outfit.<\/p>\n Treat yourself to a good meal. Start living again.<\/p>\n Never beg anyone to stay with you against their will.<\/p>\n Their leaving is no accident; the ‘gift of goodbye’ is a scriptural one.<\/p>\n It means God has\u00a0got something better in store for you.<\/p>\n And most possibly for them too !<\/p>\n Keep trusting Him – in every “going” and “coming”.<\/p>\n The good news is that\u00a0there is no “coming” or “going”\u00a0in the relationship we have with God.<\/p>\n At least from His side….\u00a0Not\u00a0ever having to say “goodbye” to Him.<\/p>\n He is always there… and always will be…\u00a0unconditionally..!<\/p>\n Make friends with yourself too!<\/p>\n That’s one friend you will always have with you till the very end!<\/p>\n Others may come and go but God and you will\u00a0always be there for you!<\/p>\n Isn’t that a comforting thought to help\u00a0us through all the “goodbyes” we have no control over?<\/p>\n But we will keep in touch…. and you will come back now and then<\/p>\n We will then happily share in-between stories over coffee\/tea and pamperings!<\/p>\n I look forward to that…..<\/p>\n Take care.
