before another rabid crowd<\/p>\n
their voices hushed will they once more<\/p>\n
shout out their rage and clamour loud:<\/p>\n
“Away with Him, sentence to die!<\/p>\n
This rabble-rouser,\u00a0crucify!”<\/p>\n
Will today’s Pilate wash again<\/p>\n
his hands, proclaim\u00a0an innocence<\/p>\n
and yet\u00a0plain justice bold deny<\/p>\n
with ritualistic impotence?<\/p>\n
Behold the man! Behold your King!<\/p>\n
Lamb, sacrificial offering!<\/p>\n
He stands today in different form<\/p>\n
Behold the woman, man, the child,<\/p>\n
injustice victim life -denied!<\/p>\n
Behold humanity\u00a0 defiled!<\/p>\n
On faces such as these we gaze<\/p>\n
Do we condemning voices raise?<\/p>\n
Another\u00a0judge at end of time<\/p>\n
To sheep and goats will sentence give<\/p>\n
“You saw my face\u00a0 in human plight<\/p>\n
you lent a helping hand, now live!”<\/p>\n
In condemnation or in aid<\/p>\n
our sentences on us repaid.<\/p>\n
Unless the Son be lifted up<\/p>\n
unless the grain fall down and die<\/p>\n
unless you love as I have loved<\/p>\n
your cross take up yourself deny<\/p>\n
in vain your quest! To you I bring<\/p>\n
commandment new!\u00a0Behold your king!<\/p>\n

Soon it will be Easter. We will come out as winners because of Him.<\/p>\n
But that depends on us, of course.<\/p>\n
