Adeniums are appreciated for their colorful flowers, but also for their unusual, thick\u00a0<\/a>caudices<\/a>. They can be grown for many years in a pot and are commonly used for\u00a0<\/a>bonsai<\/a>.<\/a><\/p>\n Because seed-grown plants are not genetically identical to the mother plant, desirable varieties are commonly propagated by\u00a0<\/a>grafting<\/a>. Genetically identical plants can also be propagated by\u00a0<\/a>cutting<\/a>. Great time meeting up with people I have not met for more than 40 years! Came back on Sunday morning and dashed off that same evening for a wedding. I left at 8pm and returned at 8.30 pm. <\/a><\/p>\n This was the fastest wedding I have ever been to … for two reasons.<\/a><\/p>\n First : the wedding venue was nearby at a <\/a><\/p>\n hall near Gowalia Tank.<\/a><\/p>\n Second : the wedding was the following day \u2013 Monday!! I had gone there a whole day earlier!<\/a><\/p>\n This is the second time I have done something like this. The last time I went for a wedding to far away Nerul a whole month before the wedding!!! And I am supposed to be a meticulously organised person, regular diary and all!<\/a><\/p>\n I guess old age is finally catching up with me! <\/a><\/p>\n Quite a week this past one! Tuesday holiday \u2013 YYYAAAAAYYYYYYYY ! Made use of it by visiting family in Khandivali (nephew\/wife\/baby.. come down from Muskat) and Malad (brother\/wife … come down from Dubai). <\/a><\/p>\n Wednesday\/Thursday there was this maybe Bharat Bandh.<\/a><\/p>\n Sunday , this evening, there is the TY farewell and I\u00a0 also have a wedding reception I will be going for….<\/a><\/p>\n As you can see, I am\u00a0 happily busy…<\/a><\/p>\n Not much else except for the surprises that sometimes come up in life. When one is as old as I am it is easier to deal with the surprises \u2013 good or not-so-good. Wasn\u2019t too high on this earlier. Maybe it was a reaction to the years I spent watering the large gardens my father had in the Navy bungalows we used to live in. Gardening and plants came into my life seriously maybe just four years ago…. and I am glad about it!<\/a><\/p>\n I am sure my dad up there is glad about it too!<\/a><\/p>\n All else well and I am looking forward to another wonder week!<\/a><\/p>\n You take care.
