For Christians, today is the Third Sunday of Advent… and we are getting ready for the Christmas happening. The days pass by swiftly and wonder things are nearer to us now. The hopeful waiting continues as the excitement gently mounts…
And all this while the rest of life continues routinely.
“Routine” could be more of an attitude than the real state of things. And when we equate “routine” to mean ordinary and boring and everyday sort of duties then the attitude makes dull what could otherwise be enjoyable.
Advent connects with hope and hope can add excitement into seemingly boring “routine”.
Our job, managing a home, studies/college life and similar things could be boring routine or enjoyable routine…
Depends on us, of course.
Advent is a time to wake up to the possibility that life can also be enjoyable routine
We are hopeful and excited because something wondrous is going to happen…..
More Advent musings ….quite in keeping with the times….

Advent Skies
turbulent skies
dark clouds enshrouding
imminent storm
night enveloping
soft light breakthrough
illuminating
sea waters calmed
peace radiating
earth and sky empowering gently alive
come Prince of Peace our spirits to revive…

That’s like a wake-up call for those of us whose lives have been dulled by the not-so-pleasant and the sometime tragic of routine life….
There is a breakthrough in the clouds of distress and unknowing….. and an unimaginable comforting grace is gently lighting up the world…..
Grace and blessing because the Lord is coming…. the Lord is near….
Just about two weeks for Christmas!
Growing glowing peace and goodwill wishes to you..
Take care. love, Terry
